NCT ID NCT06262412

First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study tests whether internet-delivered cognitive-behavior therapy (CBT) can help children and teenagers with body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), a condition where people obsess over perceived flaws in their appearance. About 154 participants will receive therapist-guided online CBT, and researchers will measure symptom changes and cost-effectiveness over 6 months. The goal is to see if this approach reduces distress and compulsive behaviors related to body image.
