New eye injection aims to halt blindness from dry AMD in major trial

Summary
This study tests an experimental drug called ONL1204, given as an eye injection, to see if it can slow the growth of blind spots in people with geographic atrophy, an advanced form of dry age-related macular degeneration. About 324 adults aged 55 and older will receive either the drug or a sham injection. The goal is to preserve vision and prevent further damage to the retina.
