New scan aims to spot prostate cancer more accurately, reduce unnecessary biopsies
NCT ID NCT06305390
Summary
This study is testing a new, combined PET and MRI scan to improve the diagnosis of serious prostate cancer. Researchers want to see if this 'one-stop' scan can find more aggressive cancers while helping men with low-risk findings avoid unnecessary biopsies. The study will enroll 167 men with a suspicion of prostate cancer to compare the scan's accuracy against standard biopsy results.
