One-Stop prostate check: new device could merge two tests into one
NCT ID NCT05362032
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tests whether a new device called OmnEcoil can safely and effectively combine two prostate cancer tests—MRI and biopsy—into a single session. Currently, these are done separately, which means extra visits and procedures. The trial involves 45 men aged 45 and older with elevated PSA or abnormal exams. The goal is to see if the device can get good tissue samples and reduce the number of procedures needed.
