Fish oil and aspirin may boost gum treatment in smokers

Summary

This study tested whether taking omega-3 supplements and low-dose aspirin, with or without an antibiotic, could improve standard gum treatment in smokers with advanced periodontitis. 45 smokers participated. The goal was to see if these additions helped reduce gum pocket depth and improve attachment levels. Results are not yet available.
