First seen Jan 24, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study compares a new once-daily oral antibiotic, omadacycline, to standard antibiotics for treating bone and joint infections. About 180 adults with these infections will be randomly assigned to receive either omadacycline or the usual care for 4 to 12 weeks. The goal is to see if omadacycline works as well and is easier to take, potentially improving patient adherence and outcomes.
