First seen Jan 24, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study compares a new antibiotic, omadacycline, taken once daily by mouth, to standard oral antibiotics for bone and joint infections. About 180 adults with these infections will be randomly assigned to receive either omadacycline or standard care for 4 to 12 weeks. The goal is to see if omadacycline works as well as standard treatments and is easier for patients to take.
