First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests a new painkiller called oliceridine fumarate in 428 adults having lumbar spine surgery. The goal is to see if it controls pain as well as standard opioids but with fewer side effects like constipation and breathing problems. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either oliceridine or a placebo after surgery, and researchers will track how quickly their digestion returns to normal.
