First seen Feb 17, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a therapy called OLE (Oscillatory Lung Expansion) helps ICU patients with pneumonia clear mucus from their lungs. Researchers will use a special imaging technique called EIT to see how the lungs respond. The study includes 62 adults in the ICU who produce a lot of sputum. The main goal is to measure cough strength and see if the therapy works differently depending on the cause of lung collapse.
