This study aimed to understand why obese women experience more complications during childbirth. Researchers examined uterine muscle cells from 38 women who had cesarean sections, comparing cells from obese and normal-weight women. They tested how these cells respond to inflammation to learn about the biological mechanisms behind labor difficulties.
