Scientists probe link between obesity and difficult labor
NCT ID NCT01762683
Summary
This study aimed to understand why obese women might have more difficult labors. Researchers collected cells from 38 women who had C-sections to see how obesity changes the behavior of the uterine muscle cells involved in contractions. The goal was to learn more about the basic biology, not to test a treatment.
