Scientists probe hidden link between obesity and painful kidney stones
NCT ID NCT03704350
Summary
This study aims to understand why people with obesity have a higher risk of developing kidney stones. Researchers will put healthy adults without a history of stones on a special low-oxalate diet to measure how much of this stone-forming substance their bodies produce internally. The goal is to gather knowledge that could lead to better ways to prevent stones in the future.
