First seen Jan 27, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study looks at how two weight-loss medications, tirzepatide and liraglutide, affect bone strength and body composition in adults with severe obesity (BMI 40 or higher). Researchers will track 72 participants for 6 months, measuring bone turnover markers and body changes. The goal is to understand if these drugs impact bone health differently during weight loss.
