Scientists probe link between body weight and dental implant problems
NCT ID NCT07183163
Summary
This study aimed to understand if obesity makes people more prone to inflammation and disease around their dental implants. Researchers compared 80 adults with dental implants, grouping them by weight, and measured signs of gum health and inflammation markers in fluid around the implants. The goal was to see if higher weight is linked to worse implant health, which could help guide future care.
