Summary
This study tests a fast-acting tablet (TNX-102 SL) given in the emergency room after a car accident to see if it can reduce immediate stress reactions and prevent long-term PTSD. About 180 adults who were in a motor vehicle collision will receive either the drug or a placebo for two weeks. Researchers will track their stress symptoms, thinking abilities, and overall recovery over time.
