New pill could regrow hair in balding autoimmune disease

Summary

This study tests a new drug called NXC736 for people with moderate to severe alopecia areata, an autoimmune condition that causes patchy or total hair loss. About 73 adults aged 19 to 65 will receive either the drug or a placebo for 12 weeks. The main goal is to see if the drug safely helps regrow hair, measured by a standard hair loss score.
