New drug trial aims to help people walk and move again after spinal cord injury
NCT ID NCT05965700
Summary
This study is testing an investigational drug called NVG-291 to see if it can help improve nerve signaling and function in people with spinal cord injuries. It will enroll 40 adults with recent (subacute) or long-term (chronic) cervical spinal cord injuries to measure changes in walking speed, hand strength, and other movement abilities. The main goals are to check the drug's safety and see if it helps restore some nerve connections and physical function.
