Can a simple nutritional boost improve surgery recovery for severe leg disease?

NCT ID NCT03529019

Summary

This small pilot study is testing whether giving nutritional supplements before and after surgery can help patients with critical limb ischemia, a severe form of artery disease in the legs. The researchers will enroll 30 patients to see if the supplements improve their nutritional status, as measured by blood tests and hand grip strength. The goal is to see if better nutrition leads to better recovery and health outcomes after vascular surgery.
