Summary

This study looks at whether a special nutritional drink made with hydrolyzed whey protein and MCT oil can help malnourished cancer patients gain weight and improve their nutrition during radiotherapy. About 132 adults with head, neck, lung, rectal, or esophageal cancer who are malnourished or at risk will take the drink for 12 weeks. Researchers will track weight, body mass index, and other measures to see if the supplement helps.
