New study tests if supplements can fade elderly bruising

Summary

This pilot study looks at whether an 8-week nutritional supplement can reduce actinic purpura (age-related bruising) in older adults. Thirty healthy volunteers aged 55 and older will take either the supplement or vitamin C alone. Researchers will check skin changes using photos and exams at 4 and 8 weeks.
