First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study looks at whether teaching caregivers about iron-rich foods can improve hemoglobin levels in children aged 1-5 with iron deficiency anemia, compared to giving only iron supplements. About 150 children will receive either oral iron therapy alone or iron therapy plus a nutritional education program for their caregivers. The goal is to see if combining education with standard treatment leads to better anemia control.
