Summary

This study tests whether a high-protein nutrition plan combined with resistance exercises, started weeks before surgery and continued for 24 weeks after, can help older adults with cancer preserve their physical function. The trial enrolls Veterans aged 55 and older with certain cancers who are at high risk for decline. The goal is to improve recovery, strength, and quality of life.
