NCT ID NCT07550309
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a structured group nutrition program helps pregnant women gain weight within recommended ranges. 216 women with uncomplicated pregnancies will either attend three group classes plus a cooking session, or receive standard care with a brochure. Researchers track weight, diet, and stress markers from early pregnancy to 8 weeks after birth.

- Structured Nutritional Education Program
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this could show that group nutrition classes help more pregnant women gain weight within recommended ranges, potentially improving health for mothers and babies.
- What could go wrong
- This is a behavioral study, not a drug trial, so results may be modest. The effect depends on participants' adherence, and findings may not apply to all pregnant women.
