Summary
This study looks at whether nurses can take a bigger role in starting methadone treatment for people with opioid use disorder. Currently, doctors must renew prescriptions every two weeks, but there often aren't enough doctors. The study will involve 182 adults starting methadone at specialized centers in France. The main goal is to see if nurse-led care helps more people stay in treatment for at least 3 months.
