First seen Dec 16, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study looked at whether teaching nurses how to read ventilator waveforms and manage alarms could reduce breathing problems in children on ventilators in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU). 64 children were involved, and nurses in one group received extra training. The goal was to see if this training led to fewer breathing mismatches and alarms, and better outcomes for the children.
