New pill could help PNH patients avoid blood transfusions

Summary
This Phase 3 study tests an experimental oral drug, NTQ5082, for people with paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH), a rare blood disorder that destroys red blood cells. The goal is to see if the drug can raise hemoglobin levels enough to avoid blood transfusions. About 78 adults who have not had prior complement inhibitor therapy will be enrolled.
