Radiation boost before chemo and surgery may help shrink hard-to-operate lung tumors
NCT ID NCT06800339
First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This early-phase study tests whether adding a short course of high-dose radiation before standard chemotherapy and immunotherapy can make borderline resectable non-small cell lung cancer easier to remove with surgery. About 18 adults will receive three doses of radiation followed by up to 9 weeks of chemo plus nivolumab, then surgery. The main goal is to see if the combination is safe and tolerable.
