New combo therapy aims to shrink Hard-to-Treat lung tumors before surgery

Summary
This study tests giving chemotherapy plus the immunotherapy drug nivolumab before surgery to people with a rare type of lung cancer called Pancoast tumor. The goal is to see if this combination can shrink the tumor enough to allow complete removal. After surgery, patients may receive more treatment based on how much tumor remains. The trial includes 22 adults with previously untreated non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that has not spread to distant organs.
