New combo attack before surgery shows promise for tough lung tumors

Summary
This study tests giving chemotherapy plus the immunotherapy drug nivolumab before surgery to people with a rare lung cancer called Pancoast tumor. The goal is to see if this combination helps shrink the tumor enough for complete removal and improves survival. About 22 adults with stage IIB to IIIB non-small cell lung cancer will take part.
