Sugar-Water knee shots: do pain pills help or hurt?
NCT ID NCT06911359
Summary
This study is testing whether taking common pain relievers like ibuprofen affects how well a series of sugar-water injections works for knee osteoarthritis. Researchers are recruiting 68 military healthcare patients aged 45-75 with moderate knee arthritis pain. Participants will receive three knee injections and be randomly assigned to take either ibuprofen or a placebo pill to see which combination works better for pain and function.
