Could a simple supplement and brisk walks tame high blood pressure in older women?
NCT ID NCT07475208
First seen Mar 23, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study looks at whether taking a daily supplement called nicotinamide riboside (a form of vitamin B3) combined with brisk walking for 10 weeks can help lower blood pressure in post-menopausal women with mildly high blood pressure. About 112 women will be randomly assigned to receive the supplement, a walking program, both, or a placebo. The goal is to find a safe, non-drug way to improve heart health in this group.
