NCT ID NCT05588895
First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study looked at whether notifying patients and their doctors about calcium buildup in the heart arteries (found by accident on a chest CT scan) leads to better heart health. About 200 adults were split into two groups: one got the notification, the other got usual care. The goal was to see if more people started taking statins to lower their heart risk.
