First seen Apr 02, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looks at how the intestines develop normally in babies and what changes in diseases like necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC). Researchers will collect small tissue samples, blood, and stool from infants up to 2 years old who are already having intestinal surgery or a scope procedure. The goal is to learn more about human gut development and find new ways to understand and treat early-life intestinal disorders.
