Better drug found to prevent dangerous blood pressure drops in C-Sections

Summary

This study tested two medications, norepinephrine and phenylephrine, to prevent low blood pressure during C-sections with spinal anesthesia. 98 women participated, and those who received norepinephrine had fewer episodes of low blood pressure (14.9% vs 42.6%) and more stable heart rates. Both drugs were safe for the babies.
