Summary
This study looked at giving a drug called norepinephrine early during major abdominal surgery to prevent low blood pressure. The goal was to see if this approach reduces organ problems and other complications after surgery. 500 adults aged 50 and older at higher risk took part. The study compared early use of the drug to standard care.
