New hope for kids: avoiding surgery for post-feeding tube complications
NCT ID NCT03920306
First seen May 16, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tested non-surgical treatments for a common problem in children: a persistent opening between the stomach and skin after a feeding tube is removed. 100 children were enrolled to see if these treatments could close the opening without surgery. The goal was to find a simpler, less invasive way to manage this complication.
