Summary
This study looked at non-surgical treatments for a condition called gastrocutaneous fistula (GCF) in children. GCF is a persistent opening between the stomach and skin that can occur after a feeding tube is removed. The study tested a bundle of non-surgical options to see if they could close the opening without needing surgery. 100 children who were ready to have their feeding tube removed took part.
