Sugar check breakthrough: predicting pregnancy complications without needles

NCT ID NCT04979312

First seen Oct 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study looks at whether regularly checking blood sugar levels without needles can help predict gestational diabetes and preeclampsia in pregnant women. About 100 women with at least one risk factor for gestational diabetes will wear a non-invasive glucose monitor and have their blood pressure tracked. The goal is to see if these simple measurements can warn doctors early about potential complications.
