First seen Nov 10, 2025 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 35 times
Summary
This study tests a new device that measures blood pressure in a neck vein to estimate pressure in the heart's central veins, without needing a catheter. About 40 adults in the cardiac ICU will have both the non-invasive test and the standard invasive measurement to see if the new method is safe and accurate. The goal is to gather early data to see if this approach could reduce the need for invasive procedures.
