Zap away back pain? new patch offers hope without surgery
NCT ID NCT05265000
Summary
This study is testing a non-invasive electrical patch placed on the skin to see if it can reduce chronic low back pain. Researchers at UCSF are enrolling 50 adults with persistent back pain to try this approach, which aims to work like an implantable device but without surgery. They will measure changes in pain levels, movement, and brain activity before and after the treatment.
