Summary
This study looks at two proteins, NOD1 and NOD2, in saliva and blood to see how they relate to gum disease. Researchers will compare 75 healthy people, those with gingivitis, and those with periodontitis. The goal is to better understand the body's immune response to gum problems, not to test a new treatment.
