Pain sensitivity may predict physical therapy success

NCT ID NCT04929171

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study looked at 30 people with ongoing neck or shoulder pain from myofascial pain syndrome. Researchers measured how much their pain spread or amplified (nociplastic features) and checked if that affected their response to physical therapy after 3 months. The goal was to learn more about pain types, not to test a new treatment.
