Simple blood test may spot hidden artery disease in dialysis patients
NCT ID NCT07179211
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 42 times
Summary
This study looks at 120 adults on regular dialysis to see if a simple blood test called the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) can help detect peripheral artery disease (PAD), a condition where arteries in the legs narrow. The goal is to find a cheap, easy way to identify patients at risk so they can get early treatment. Participants will have blood tests and a vascular assessment, but no new treatments are being tested.
