Immune booster after transplant may keep leukemia at bay

NCT ID NCT03300492

First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving extra natural killer (NK) cells from a donor can safely help prevent leukemia or MDS from coming back after a stem cell transplant. About 10 adults with acute myeloid leukemia or myelodysplastic syndromes who don't have a fully matched donor will receive NK cells from their half-matched donor. The main goal is to check safety and side effects, and also to see if the NK cells help keep the cancer away.
