Summary
This study looked at whether taking nitrate (found in beets) and caffeine together improves cycling performance in trained male cyclists. Fifteen cyclists completed a 3-minute all-out cycling test after taking nitrate, caffeine, both, or a placebo. The goal was to see if the combination gives an extra boost to power output.
