Summary
This study tested whether a light-based device (near-infrared spectroscopy) can detect early blood flow problems in reconstructed breasts after mastectomy. 18 women who had DIEP flap surgery were monitored. The goal was to see if the device could catch complications early, but the study was stopped before completion.
