Gentle light could give early warning for tiny Babies' kidneys

NCT ID NCT07222722

Summary

This study is testing whether a non-invasive light sensor placed on the skin can detect early signs of kidney injury in premature babies. Researchers will monitor 100 babies born before 30 weeks of pregnancy to see if changes in kidney oxygen levels predict kidney problems before traditional blood tests. The goal is to find a gentler way to catch kidney issues early in these vulnerable infants.
