Researchers look back at breast surgery safety
NCT ID NCT04447339
Summary
This study looks at past medical records from multiple hospitals to understand how often complications occur after a specific type of preventive breast surgery called open nipple-sparing mastectomy. It involves reviewing the records of 75 female patients who had this surgery between 2018 and 2022. The goal is to learn about the surgery's safety and its effectiveness in removing breast tissue while preserving the nipple.
