Could a lung drug stop debilitating nosebleeds?

NCT ID NCT04976036

Summary

This study is testing whether a drug called nintedanib can reduce the frequency and severity of nosebleeds in people with hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT), a rare genetic disorder. About 48 adult participants with moderate to severe nosebleeds will take either nintedanib or a placebo capsule twice daily for 16 weeks after an initial observation period. The main goal is to see if the drug helps people spend less time bleeding from their nose each month.
