Summary

This study tested a short, 10-minute therapy called Nightmare Rescripting and Rehearsal to help people with recurring distressing nightmares. It was designed for use by primary care staff, not mental health specialists, and included sleep hygiene education for all participants. The study aimed to reduce nightmare distress and frequency, but was terminated early. It involved 68 adults from a military base.
